Classic Lashes (also known as ‘individual eyelash extensions’) were the first original method of a single false lash being glued onto a single natural lash. The ultimate lash aim for a flawless natural look is to have every single natural lash attached to a false lash in order to achieve that ‘full’ look. The process of classic lashes takes anywhere between 1.5 – 2 hours, anything done quicker than this is not something to be impressed by.
Volume Lashes have the ability to create much more volume to your set of lashes. Volume lashes are a newer addition and a very welcome technique to the beauty industry. Volume lashes are more versatile than classic lashes in a sense of achieving either a natural or glam look. They have a more fluffy and full appearance and range anywhere from 2-10D which refers to how many lashes are attached to each one individual lash.
• Appear more youthful, alert, and approachable.
• Feel the incredible experience of increased eye contact, connection, and inner confidence.
• Free yourself from the wasted time, frustration, and damage associated with eyelash curlers and mascara. No more clumpy lashes, smudges, and eye-irritating flakes. Eyeliner is optional as the base of the extension creates a line along the lid. Many clients do not feel the need to wear makeup at all.
• Accentuate the color and brightness of your eyes. A master eyelash artist can actually bring out the green or blue in your eyes or brighten the shade of your brown eyes. They can even make your whites brighter and lessen redness.
• Rest and rejuvenate. Our private spa atmosphere will allow you to unwind, relax, self-reflect, meditate, or even take a little nap. Your comfort is of extreme importance - expect inviting scents and music that will set you at ease.
Each extension should last for the remaining lifespan of the natural eyelash. As your natural lashes grow and shed, the extensions will grow and shed with them. Most clients experience enough shedding within 3 weeks to be in need of a touchup. Some clients need, or want, to come every 2 weeks. These clients either have a somewhat faster growth cycle, are a little rougher on their lashes, or just prefer to have their lashes at maximum fullness as much as possible.
How full your lashes will look at the end of your touchup appointment will be greatly affected by how many lashes you have when you arrive for your appointment- ideally you should have 50% of your extensions still on at touchup time. Please keep this in mind when determining how long to wait to schedule your touchups. Also arriving on time for your appointments will ensure you will receive the maximum amount of eyelashes. We require at least 25% of your extensions to be remaining at the time of your service to qualify for a touchup service. Waiting more than 5 weeks between appointments will require another full set appointment.
Some people ask, “Will they all fall out at the same time?” No, your extensions will fall out one at a time over several weeks in a subtle shedding process.
Depending on the service selected, the initial application of your eyelash extensions will take 2–4 hours. Our most popular full set, the Couture takes approximately three hours. Touchup appointments take as little as 90 minutes.
Not at O'Lashi Flair™. Lash strips, clusters, and "individuals" sold at drug stores and bargain establishments will damage your natural lashes since they inevitably tear out lashes during application, growth, and/or removal. Also, inexperienced lash artists applying true single-strand eyelash extensions may make technical errors such as using too much glue, extensions that are too heavy, or attaching natural lashes to one another. Any of these errors can cause thinning of the natural lashes.
An expert eyelash stylist will assess the condition and sturdiness of your natural lashes and apply lashes best suited for you. Not only do we plan for your natural lashes to stay healthy and strong, we have many times seen our clients’ natural lashes become healthier and fuller as they continue to see us.
Eyelash extensions applied by inexperienced or poorly trained eyelash stylists or not a licensed esthetician may damage your natural lashes. The key is making sure no two natural lashes are adhered to one another. Looking in a mirror, you can guess that this is no easy task. Being able to do this properly takes extensive practice, attention to detail, and a dedication to perfection. Be sure you trust the education and experience of the professional you choose. Ask to see proof of education, license, before and after pictures, and testimonials.
Yes, you can. But one of the greatest benefits of eyelash extensions is eliminating the need for mascara on a daily basis. Eye shadows and eyeliners are perfectly fine to use. Oil-based products, particularly waterproof mascara, should be avoided as they may compromise the life of your extensions. We recommend purchasing the mascara we carry as it is designed specifically for eyelash extensions. If you receive a set of extensions using the Volume Technique, we recommend abstaining from using mascara, which should not be a problem because your lashes should be incredibly lush and full already.
Caring for your eyelash extensions is surprisingly easy. Two main factors in keeping your lashes healthy and full are regular cleansing & being gentle with your extensions. We will give you more specific instructions and tips at the time of your service.
For the most part, you can live your life as normal while wearing extensions. Prolonged and excessive exposure to heat, humidity, and water may lessen the life of your lashes, but will not make them fall off. Some of our regular clients are fitness and surfing enthusiasts and do not tend to lose their lashes more quickly than others.
